Cynthia had fallen asleep and dreamt a dream that she experienced as a reality.
– Cynthia…? –
– “Raphael, I’m so glad to see you and not only to hear your voice in my head.”
– “My dearest, you were right when you thought that Jeremy has a problem. And you are the one who is going to help him. Pay attention… Tomorrow you will start to remember the knowledge that is being given to you right now. Perhaps it will not all come back at the same moment but during the coming weeks this knowledge will come back to you when you need it.”
At that moment she felt if though her body and mind were absorbing a lot of information that still had to be put in order.
When she woke up, she felt enriched and some received fragments of what he had said popped up in her head: You have been granted many favors and you are expected to return many favors. This will be a continuation of your spiritual formation. You are expected to help with the opening of Jeremy’s chakra’s.
After the children went to school, Cynthia went to the garden and for the first time in many years, she cried over her husband’s death, standing there near his grave. She called out loud: ‘I cannot leave our children alone.’
She heard the answer in her head. ‘Don’t worry; the occasion will present itself eventually.’
– “Why do you want me to do this?“
– “He, who has been touched by The Light, has the duty to let it shine upon others.“
Then she sighed in resignation and she went to see her new neighbor.
– “Ms. Nightfall…, could I talk with you for a moment?”
– “Call me Auntie Dawn, honey. Most of the children here call me Auntie; even your son Risto. I’m very pleased that I achieved that in this short period of time.”
– “Well then; Auntie Dawn; when we first met, you offered to take care of the children when necessary.”
– “Yes, that offer still stands. Now, honey, come inside. Take a seat. While I prepare something for breakfast, you could have a look at my photo album. There you can see shots of the many children I have taken care of.”
– “I’m not really hungry, Auntie Dawn.”
– “No, I bet you aren’t but I’m sure that you haven’t had breakfast; you are so skinny. You need to have a strong body because you are still young and should have your body prepared for more children. Now don’t say no; I know what you young people need.”
– “Tell me my dear… how is that hamburger?”
– “Mmm… it certainly is delicious… mmmm.”
– “When would you need me, you said?”
– “Not right now but perhaps within a week or so, I might have to leave for 10 or 15 days.”
– “That’s all right, sweetie. What would you prefer? At your place or here? I have enough beds for them here.”
They continued talking while going outside.
– “Would it be a problem for you, if you would look after them in my house?”
– “No, that’s no problem at all. I can see your point; they are more comfortable in their own surroundings. I would be delighted to take care of them.”
– “No need to say that I will pay you in advance.”
– “Oh, but you don’t have to pay me, honey!”
– “Aunt Dawn, I insist. If you don’t accept the money then I’m afraid that I’ll have to look for someone else.”
– “Well; all right then, sweetie; you win.”
– “Okay; I will contact you, once I know the details.”
They said goodbye and Dawn looked how Cynthia walked back to her own place. Dawn nodded her head slightly and said to herself ‘She’s a pretty young woman; skinny… but pretty.’ Then she turned around and went inside.
After Jeremy’s short visit, Jane let go of her false hopes. The old Jane woke up in her and she decided to do what almost all young people do; she would go out more often.
That day, she met a nice woman, called Penelope who used to make music on the streets and they found out that they had the same interests. They wanted to know each other better and agreed to go out together.
She felt like she had to do something different. Now she didn’t have to look after her brother anymore because Daisy had taken over that task.
Tomorrow she would meet Penelope at the Bistro and from there they would go to do some fashion shopping.
Raph felt alone without his friend and he wasn’t very sure what to do. He had gone out for a walk and sat on the bench near the bookstore when a girl sat down next to him.
– “Hi…, you’re Raph, aren’t you?”
– “Yes, how do you know that?”
– “We’re in the same school but in another class.”
– “Oh!”
– “You know that many of my classmates are talking about you?”
– “Why should they?”
– “Because you’re so good looking.”
– “Ah come on! I’m not in the mood for this kind of gossip!”
– “All right. Then you don’t want to hear that the girls are making bets on who of us hooks you first?”
Raph had never thought about girls, at least not in that way. So far, his interest had been sharing confidences with his friend and they never had a conversation about girls. They just were not interesting enough, and… girls were always giggling.
– “What did you say?”
The girl looked at him with an inviting smile. She didn’t answer because she knew he had heard her. She only tried to awake his interest and if she could be the first one he took interest in…; that would give her a blast and all her girlfriends would be envying her. He stood up and said: “Hey, we’ll talk another moment, bye-bye!” and he went away. He went home and put some other clothes on. Then he went out again.
He started walking until he reached the pond on the other side of Rainbow Street. He took his fishing rod and prepared it. He was so distracted that he had forgotten all about time and when he heard somebody call his name, he looked up and saw the Police car.
‘Heavens; what time is it?’ He ran towards the Police car and was taken home.
Cynthia had called the Police when she saw that the boy was not at home. She had called Ilona, hoping that he would be with Mattie but that wasn’t the case.
She sighed with relieve when she heard the Police car pull up in front of her door.
Very angry, she shouted at her son who said “sorry mom, I wasn’t aware it was this late.” They went inside the house and Cynthia thought about her young years when she often had been picked up from the streets but she always knew what she was doing. She had done it on purpose, because now she admitted it, she had been a very difficult kid.
Once inside, she embraced him and said: “Raph, please don’t let this happen again. I know you didn’t do it on purpose but I have been very, very worried.”
It was already 1.00 a.m. when the boy went to bed.
The moment that Cynthia laid her head down on the pillow, she was transported to dreamland. Raphael had been waiting there for her and finding out about her worries for the children, he went to see them.
First of all he looked at little Risto, who was sleeping like an angel.
Then he went to see Raph; his own flesh and blood.
When he looked at Raph, he noticed that the boy already had a rather strong aura and he was very proud of that but; on the other hand, he knew that life wouldn’t be easy for the boy. Anyway, he, his father would be there to lend him a helping hand. Cynthia would help him as well.
Ohh… Cynthia! Raphael went back to the bedroom and sat on the bed, trying to catch up with her thoughts and doubts and then he could influence her so that she would have the answer next morning. He transported her in her dream to the garden where they sat down.
– “Tell me more about this task you have in mind for me.”
– “Both of you will be put on a difficult test. You are lucky enough to know about it and Jeremy doesn’t expect it.”
– “But what if I cannot stand up to expectations?”
– “Then you will continue your actual life, richer in experience and knowing what your next achievement will be.”
– “And what if Jeremy fails?”
– “For him it would be worse because he will remain as lonesome and insecure as he is right now.”
– “Jeremy… insecure?”
– “Yes my dear. His character wasn‘t even formed when his mother died and he still is acting as she asked him. He never takes the first step when it comes around questions of the heart. He doesn’t know the difference yet between lust and love. The only good thing he learned so far is a general respect for women. That’s why he doesn’t dare to take the initiative to court a woman. He has to learn that.”
Raphael knew that this revelation had been enough for now so he vanished and Cynthia, even in her dream, became aware again of the magic of the appearances.
To be continued…
