I’m very pleased to present for download my third world made with the CAW tool… so yes, it is Sims 3.
it’s again a complete and populated world, ready to be played with. The Lowlands refers to the Netherlands where I was born. Although I left my country a long time ago, I wanted to recreate something similar to the Netherlands for The Sims. For that purpose I downloaded a heightmap from Google and made it usable for CAW. That itself was a big task… more difficult than I expected. A very large part of the land is below sea-level so it didn’t show well. I think I managed to make something that looks like my motherland. Of course it was impossible to get all the important towns and villages and even rivers on that tiny piece of land so concessions had to be made. Holland has such a special own character that I feared I could not show that in the lots that had to be constructed. I’m not a builder you know! Fortunately I got help from FA Fredbrenny. Most of the lots in this world have been built by her and she managed to give it a complete Dutch feel. She helped me as well with the outlay, so my gratitude to her is endless. I owe Gary (Gissence) the beautiful Logo he has made for this world.
However, if you don’t have all the expansion packs, I assure you not to download this because you won’t see this world as was intended. I made this world with all the e.p.’s and the stuff packs installed. For the stuff packs… if you don’t have them, you can try it because I tried not to use those but you really need all the expansions: World adventures,High End Loft Stuff,Ambitions,Fast Lane Stuff,Late Night,Outdoor Living Stuff,Generations,Town Life Stuff,Pets,Master Suite Stuff,Showtime,Diesal Stuff,Supernatural,Seasons,University,Island Paradise,Movie Stuff,Into the Future.
I used a Medium large flat map.
There are 69 lots: 39 community lots – 7 lots with households – 13 lots without households – 10 residential lots where I haven’t built anything on and as well some community lots that are completely empty.
All the community lots for the job seekers are included. Most of them are the rabbit holes from EA. There are only 5 or 6 rabbit hole rugs by Cazarupt-TSR (http://www.thesimsresource.com/artists/Cazarupt)
Pay close attention to the expansion packs you need to see this world correctly.
Custom Content:
* I’m not used to having much custom content in my worlds but this time is an exception. We could not give this world the correct view without using the typical Dutch facades and some other details from FA Mutske (http://www.thesimsresource.com/artists/Mutske). To keep the megabytes low, the houses by Fred are not furnished but you can download the lots she has made for this world at her minisite (http://www.thesimsresource.com/artists/Fredbrenny). I know she will continue creating for this world so pay close attention to her upcoming work as well.
* There is a holy cross and a buttress made by myself.
* No store items have been used and I avoided to use items from stuff packs although I have them installed in my game. All of them but Katy Perry.

I have learned a lot from my first world and I truly hope you can see that now in my second world. So this is my second world created with the wonderful CAW tool.
Martoele Riverbanks is a populated and functional Sims 3 world. Als the name indicates, this world has been created on both sides of a mighty river.
