Where did you go to my love – 7

Banner Azra English

Welcome back my dear readers! Azra and Murphys story will continue! I have 2 more chapters for you. A lot of things happened to them after we left them the last time. Azra and Murphy just got married, remember? I will tell you all about it.

*****

Yes…. Look again. Its me…, Azra.
Don
t worry! I am OK! Just a lot older than the last time we spoke. Babysitting my grandkids! You missed a bit of the story? Sorry…, I will update you! You do remember me living in a tree house dont you? And Cheng Wang Liangand Murphy of course....

Believe me…! It was one of the hardest things I had to do, but not because it was for sad reasons. The tree house was just becoming too small. And I was becoming too big….

We definitely needed more space. Fred was assigned to build us a big place. Fred wanted us to move to Twinbrook, but I really wanted to stay in Riverview, so now we have to wait…, Fred is almost ready.

Murphy got himself an adventurous job, and as I was growing in size, so was our love.

The big day was there. It all happened so fast! There she was Lotus Lin Law. Murphy and I had a daughter.

Not very long after Lotus turned two, I was pretty sure I was pregnant again. Lotus was going to have a baby brother or sister.

I think it was around that time too when Fred found us a perfect house. The one we stayed in now was bugged, and another crash would definitely not amuse any of us. So I was telling Lotus she would learn to ride her little bike in a new house. We would move any day now.

Murphy spend as much time as he could with our little family. Lotus was a lot like him. And our little girl adored her daddy.

Meanwhile back in China, not long after I found out I was pregnant for the second time, a baby boy was born in Shang Simla. We hadnt been in China since Murphy and I tied the knot. China was still a part of us, but our life was in Riverview.

We moved house. And a couple months later it was time…. I gave birth to another healthy baby girl, Yin June Law.

Murphy, the girls and I had now been living in our new home for almost three years and I just had my birthday. A few more gray hair, but I felt on top of the world! This was all I ever longed for!

A home and a family. Lotus and Yin. Two adorable little girls. The sisters Law got along pretty well.

And Murphy got his life time wish! He was now a fire fighter Commander, he was an ace in Martial Arts and in athletics. Life was good to us. Good to us as a family, and in general.

Oh yes…, the girls. They are grown up now. Both very different, but similar in some ways too. Lotus was the spitting image of her daddy. Maybe not so much in looks, but their characters were each others clone.

Yin on the other hand, she was taking after momma more and more. Music was her first love, as it would be my last and as an extra she was a tinker body. Nothing would escape Yins eye. Always creating and tinkering. I do recognize myself in her very much so. They were still little children, my girls No big issues. That would change soon enough.

The year Lotus went to junior high, I told Murphy I was pregnant again.

Manchu Law was born in the Cherry Blossom Season. I had never thought about Cheng again.
Cheng Wang Liang had gone from my hard drive….
Deleted. Just like he had disappeared from Freds computer a millennium ago.

When Lotus turned 18, she was ready to leave the house. She wanted to start a life of her own, she said. It was time. She got a job at the fire station. Luckily daddy could still keep an eye out for his oldest daughter.

‘Fred, you have to admit…, making me a new Cheng was like trying to re-paint the Mona Lisa. How hard you tried it was not the real thing… Anyway, they were all over the place.’

*Fred answers* ‘Azrabelieve me…, as one of the wandering Chengs moved into your neighborhood, I, Fred, thought that it wasnt his fault either. He deserved a place in this world too. After all.. I created him, how could I just delete him?’

It so happened that one sunny day, this multi dimensional Sim, walked into the fire station looking for a joband what could Murphy, being the chief commander do? We had to live with it obviously. He gave Cheng a job. It was OK. We were accustomed to having Chengs around by now. Anyhow these Chengs were not the REAL thing. Not for me. Murphy knew where Cheng came from. It was that portal he had opened many years ago. The Chengs were no thread to us.

Murphy hadnt counted on one thing though: Cheng met Lotus

and Lotus met Cheng….

And so it happened. They started dating.

Sometimes Lotus was alone for long periods of time. It was when Cheng was wandering again. He would come and go. He had a restless soul.

Yes…, Lotus had not chosen the easy way. She found out she was pregnant when Cheng was out again. He was either coming or going. He didnt intend to stay. Not for long periods of time anyway.

Lotus was a tough lady. She could take care of herself, and of the little baby that was growing inside her.

You think thats it? No…, there was still a lot more to come.

While our daughter told her daddy at work she was expecting and glory be to God that the daddy of this unborn child was present at the time…, I found out I was having another baby as well.

I first thought I had an upset stomach. I was in my forties…, my goodness!

At the fire station everyone, I mean everyone was ready to be uncle. They would all help Lotus. Its strange…, I know… but Cheng.. the wandering soul, was there as well being one of the guys, not in the role of the expecting father…. Why did my child choose to love him?

Murphy told me I should not worry. All was well. Lotus was a grown woman. She chose her babies daddy. There was not much we, as parents could do about it.

I was pregnant…, so was my oldest daughter. I send our youngest, Manchu, over many nights. ‘Go help your sister.’ Id tell him. Do your homework there, and see if she needs anything. Sometimes I thought we were not entirely fair to Manchu. He was just a kid. But he didnt mind he said.
Oh, I am so grateful for having such wonderful children.

Lotus, Manchu Yes….
Well Yin, she is special
…. Why you may ask me…. I will tell you shortly. Have to go for now. I hear one of the babies crying.

To be continued…
