Here’s an introduction to my new story.

Bubbles Bluewater is the proud owner of her own B&B, set in the ancient farm of her great grandmother. Bubbles just put an ad in the Bridgeport Daily. She is ready for her guests… But are her guests ready for her?

She just called the newspaper. Her ad would be in the paper in the next issue of the weekend issue of Bridgeport’s newspaper. The old farm was ready… She was ready. Even her little brother was ready. Bluewater Inn. Back to basics, and a pamper yourself weekend… Yes… she definitely was ready!

“Barry… Is the paper here yet? I want to see what the ad looks like… God… Can’t remember being this nervous!”

“Sis… It’s not even eight. When was the first day the paper boy was here before ten?
Relax! I am not even done painting the small room yet… We have enough to do.”

“Be a sweetheart and run down to the store to get at least 10 issues of today’s paper. I am so excited! I need to think of what to make for dinner!”

“Bubbles… You know I love you. Stop worrying about dinner. Once people make reservations, there is plenty of time to think about food and what to make. Besides, the garden has everything you want. I’ll run down to the store no sooner than needed.”

“I’ll go down town today. The salon needs me. I need to make over someone really bad. You know.. I might set up my own little salon here, once you get visitors…”
“Barry… From now on I want you to brush your teeth upstairs… This is too gross.”

“Do I hear a dog bark?”
“Yes…”
“When does the dog bark?”
“When the paperboy gets here?”
“Right!…”

“Barry!
Barry?
…Oh never mind… Oh wow! This ad looks GREAT!”

I am ready when you are… my guests…

Nora Winters

Finally some rest. The weekend was cut short. She had to work on Saturday, but next weekend she would have the extra day. She picked up the paper and read the Economics page. Business was getting better, finally… Her boss was no fun to be around these days. She sighed with relief… Once the stocks go up, he will be a puppy dog too.
Her eye caught the add on page 3… Hmmm…. Bluewater Inn. A back to basics B&B. Are you tired of everyday life? Want to relax and feel one with nature again for a couple of days? We have what you long for. 2 Nights for $99.00 plus tax Call: 555-641-6440

Oh yes… She definitely needed a break. Well… It wouldn’t hurt checking out the B&B.
Nora was thinking about the exquisite outfits she was going to pack for this weekend… no… next weekend… *sigh*… first there was work to be done…

The Black & White perfect life of Nora Winters was about to encounter some shades of Grey.
Nora was the Director of Finance at some posh Legal Office. She knew her business, and she did well. The latest fashion, the newest gadgets. Nora had it all.

Nora booked a long weekend at the Bluewater Inn.

Bubbles was relieved! It had been just two days and she now had a booking! She took her bike to go downtown and get some stuff she really thought was needed for that very first welcome barbecue. She was really happy. The email had been short and sounded business like… Miss Nora Winters. Good!

At that same moment… Wesley thought he heard the postman opening his mailbox… What in the…??? He never got mail.

Wesley lived in a caravan downtown. He rented it for 2 months. He was on a road trip on his bike. He needed to get to know all of Simland. But… for now… he had a break.. he needed money. Therefore he entered a fishing competition. The biggest fish would win a prize. Wesley knew he could fish… He had nothing to lose.

He bragged about it too. He was the world’s best fisherman.
Yeah… sure… One for the road Mr. Prize Fisherman?

Wesley knew he was not good around women…
He needed to get out to the lake… He needed to get his fishing rod out… What was he doing here anyways?

Wesley’s life was boring… very boring…

And so it happened that Wesley won a prize after all. He had caught the biggest mini Gold Fish ever… He won an all inclusive long weekend at the Bluewater Inn.

Wesley had never been more proud in his entire life!

Once more Bubbles took her bike downtown… There were going to be two guests! That was very promising!

She might as well buy more… You never knew if there were more bookings! She had 3 bedrooms… She might as well cater for a full house!

Jozef Tremont was a writer. He suffered from writers block for a long time now. Luckily he had another way of earning money.

Jozef was one of Bridgeport’s best Jazz Bassists. He played at the clubs, he played with other great musicians. He knew his bass the way a man knew the woman he loved … but Jozef had no woman, hadn’t had one for 15 years. Jozef needed something to trigger his creativity… Jozef needed a break.

He had heard a buzz about a new B&B opening on the green side of Bridgeport. Yes… That would do him good. He would have the peace and quiet to write his novel, and relax at the same time.

Jozef booked on line…
The weekend would be wonderful. And if not… he would lock himself in his room and just write. Either way was good.

“I am so nervous Barry.”
“Relax sis… you have it all organized… Just get some rest. Tomorrow we will just see how it goes.”

And so it is tomorrow… A day full of anticipation.
Who are their guests? Will they like it at the Bluewater Inn?
